Life-Time Achievements

The BGC Life-time Achievement Award was established in 2017 in an effort to formally recognize and acknowledge the blind golf leaders who have made significant contributions to the sport over their 25+ years as part of the community. Each recipient will be granted an honorary lifetime membership to Blind Golf Canada.

Brian MacLeod Award

David Brian MacLeod
May 9, 1959 – December 19, 2015

In honor of our beloved friend, advocate, and fellow blind golfer, Brian MacLeod, this award is presented in his name and memory. It recognizes the extraordinary contributions and achievements Brian made in blind golf in Canada and around the world. Through his unwavering friendship and camaraderie, Brian truly embodied the spirit of this great game. His legacy lives on through this distinguished award.

The Brian MacLeod Award is presented annually to an individual who exemplifies outstanding leadership both on and off the golf course, demonstrates resilience in overcoming adversity, and has made a meaningful humanitarian contribution to blind golf in Canada and internationally.
